A. R. Rahman, the pride of India, a Music Composer, Singer, Lyricist, and Instrumental participant who had tough times in his youth. Rahman began to learn Piano at age four. Following his father’s passing, he began to play piano professionally to support his family financially when he was twenty-five years. He revealed his musical excellence by playing in bands and jingles. He created over 300 Jingles which polished his profession in a larger way. He was part of this group called “Roots” from 1984-88. In this prime period, he scored keyboard for 10 — 12 Kannada movies.
He fulfilled Director Mani Ratnam while getting an award for his java advertisement in the year of 1991. Mani Ratnam was affected by Rahman’s soundtracks and their first Job was Roja (1992) and this was a commercial hit and debut movie in his musical journey. In the same year, back to back he wrote a Malayalam film, Yodha. A.R. Rahman began to work for a variety of movies in all the Indian languages and in Hollywood too. There are umpteen numbers of super hit musical pictures we can say from which Rangeela, Bombay, Taal, Rang De Basanti, Gentleman, Enthiran (The Robot) are few.
