Ashok Saraf Biography, Relationship & Career
Ashok was born in Mumbai and his family was essentially from Belgaum, Karnataka. He was analyzed in DGT Vidyalaya in Mumbai.
Ashok Saraf began his career by acting in plays and dramas. He began his career in Marathi Film Industry in 1960’s and since then he’s performed in over 250 films in Marathi. The majority of his films were super hit. He’s famous for his humorous acting abilities. He performed in the majority of his movies as a comedian.
His first film Janaki in Marathi premiered in 1969. His comic sense was praised in Bollywood and he acted for Hindi films also. Ashok Saraf has always involved himself in TV series in Hindi and Marathi stations. He appeared in several Hindi and Marathi serials such as Hum Paanch and Yeh Choti Badi Baatein. Saraf began his own production house named Aniket Telefilms.
Ashok Saraf obtained 5 Filmfare awards until his first Filmfare award was obtained in 1977 for Ram Ram Gangaram. For his enchanting performance in Marathi films, he’s received State Award for ten occasions. For his film Majka Bitua he had been honored with Bhojpuri film award. He also has obtained Maharashtra Government Award for Pandu Havaldar film and for Sawai Havaldar he got Screen Award.
Ashok Saraf married a celebrity Nivedita Joshi Saraf. The couple has a son called Aniket Saraf. He had an affair with Ranjana, a Marathi actress. The affair got revealed when she died in an accident. Ashok Saraf and Ranjana collectively acted in many films and the pair was famous as the very best comedian pair.
