Jos Buttler Biography, Relationship & Career
A hard-hitting batsman and a wicket-keeper, Jos Buttler, is viewed as a participant who has everything to succeed in the formats of the game. His introduction to competitive cricket arrived at a young age and he represented Somerset’s youth teams in the Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17 levels. He was a prolific run-scorer in college and junior cricket, and his consistent batting helped him come through the ranks quickly. He shortly represented Somerset’s second XI and has been viewed as a fantastic prospect for the shorter formats. Although he failed to seal his place in the First-Class side, his performances in the other formats brought him a call-up into the Somerset limited-overs squad. With routine wicket-keeper-batsman Craig Kieswetter chose to play for England, Buttler got an extended run in the Somerset team and he made the most of it, where he scored 440 runs at an average of 55 from the CB40 collection. His terrific form and skill saw him maintain his spot at the eleven after the return of Kieswetter into the Somerset line-up.
Buttler has grown in stature ever since he had been given a consistent run by the selectors. From the ODI series against Sri Lanka at home, Buttler scored his maiden ODI ton off just 61 balls, it’s the fastest hundred by an England batsman. Recently though, his form from the 50-over format was indifferent.
Buttler’s multi-dimensional batting won him an enormous contract with the Mumbai Indians in the 2016 Indian Premier League player auctions. He started for them and gave them great starts more frequently than not. In the 2018 IPL player auctions, he was roped in by Rajasthan Royals and is now playing for them.
He had been born to John Butler and Patricia Butler. He has a brother called Jimmie Goser and a sister called Joanne Vickers. He’s married to Louise Butler.
