Tabu was born as Tabassum Fatima Hashmi on 04-11-1970 in Hyderabad in the state of Telangana, India. She’s an Indian Film Actress who is best known for her work in Bollywood in Addition to English, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and Bengali films.

Tabu Biography, Relationship & Career
Her parents split after her birth and she was raised by her maternal grandparents and mom in Hyderabad. After completing her primary school education from St. Anns High School in Hyderabad, she jumped to Mumbai. She did her junior faculty at the renowned St. Xavier’s college.
Her acting career began as a child artist in the year 1980 when she did a short part in the Hindi movie titled Bazaar. She then portrayed the role of Dev Anand’s daughter in the movie named Hum Naujawan in the year 1985. She had been signed by Boney Kapoor to play the lead actress role opposite his younger brother Sanjay Kapoor in the movie named Prem. The movie took 8 years to complete and was one of the biggest flop movies of that year. Her first released Hindi movie was Pehla Pehla Pyar. The film though was barely noticed. She made her full-blown acting debut during the super hit Telugu movie Coolie No.1 in the calendar year 1991. She shared screen space with Telugu celebrity Venkatesh in this film.
The movie which earned her fame in the Hindi film industry was Vijaypath from the year 1994. She was cast opposite Ajay Devgan in this movie and the movie was a smash hit at the box-office. This film earned her very best Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. The year 1996 saw the development of Tabu as an actress to reckon with. She had as many as eight releases that year from which Jeet and Saajan Chale Sasural was one of the biggest hit films of the year. The same year she received her maiden National Award under the category of Best Actress for her performance in the much-acclaimed movie Maachis.
Since that time Tabu hasn’t looked back and gave a number of the best performances in movies like Virasat, Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United, and Chandni Bar among others. She experimented and innovated with two acclaimed movies like Namesake and Cheeni Kum. Both films garnered her a great deal of acclaim and proved that even with offbeat roles she can nail it. She took a break from Bollywood for three decades and staged her comeback with the acclaimed movie Toh Baat Pakki! The film though boomed in the box-office but her performance was praised. Her later films include Drishyam, Haidar, Jai Ho, and the newest released Rohit Shetty’s movie Golmaal Again. All of them were announced hit the box-office.
Along with Hindi, she has also acted in some award-winning regional movies also. Malayalam movie Kaalapani did exceedingly well at the box-office and so was the performance of her Telugu movie Ninne Pelladata. Tamil movies like Kandukondain Kandukondain and Kadhal Desam also did fantastic business at the box-office.
She had been born to Rizwana and Jamal Hashmi. Actress Farah Naaz is her older sister who’s married to actor Sumeet Saigal. She’s the niece of Baba Azmi and Shabana Azmi. She’s single to date. She’s outdated filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, celebrity Sanjay Kapoor & celebrity Akkineni Nagarjuna.
