Vikas Khanna Biography, Relationship & Career
Vikas Khanna was born in Amritsar and by a very age, he developed an interest in cooking. From a young age, he decided that he’ll build a professional career in this field only. He had been born with misaligned feet and legs and got it repaired when he was 13. He to pursue his interest in cooking began learning to cook dishes from his grandma. He after the conclusion of his graduation established an occasion named Saanich.
He started his professional career by joining Leela Group of Hotels and then finally worked with the Welcome group, and Taj Group of Hotels. After working at different places, he eventually started his own restaurant named Junoon in New York in the year 2010. The restaurant has received various favorable reviews and has been felicitated with Michelin Star for 6 consecutive years.
He’s called a well-known cookbook writer and has penned down some of the most exclusive cooking books that the planet has ever seen. Among all the books he has penned down a few of the books which received worldwide recognition include Modern Indian Cooking, Savour Mumbai, World Feast – My Favourite Kitchen, and”Shaken & Stirred- A Non-Alcoholic Drinks Book” among others. The book is one of the most expensive books written in the past as it costs INR 8 lakhs per copy. The book was written with gold ink. He gifted the copies of his novels to characters like Dalai Lama, Indian PM Narendra Modi, and Hillary Clinton.
He’s hosted a selection of cook shows. Since 2nd season, he’s been hosting MasterChef India. In addition, he hosted Twist of Taste for four seasons and appeared as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia. He’s also made his appearance in the famous series named Nokia Lumia: Your Wish Is My Program. Along with the small screen, he’s also appeared in the documentary film collection of Holy Kitchens.
He’s worked for various fundraising events and has created his own foundation called”SAKIV” (South Asian Kid’s Infinite Vision). He has also been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador of a base named Smile Foundation and has raised about 1milion USD for the company.
He had been born to Davinder and Bindu Khanna. He has a sister called Radhika and a brother called Nishant Khanna.
